My trip to San Diego was tailor made for animal lovers and naturalists. I have had remarks like "how can you spend two days in Seaworld?" and "Are there really that many animals to see in the SD zoo till it takes one full day?". Well, it was well worth spending time at those locations. We missed the Wild Animal Park because it was too far away for us relying just on public transport.
The first day was spent at Balboa Park. A huge area with 17 (maybe more) museums and gardens. We didn't have time to go into them all and missed nearly all of the gardens. We went to museums like the Natural History Museum, Museum of Man, Aerospace Museum, Automobile Museum, Museum of Art, Photographic Museum... and lots more. Didn't take much pictures in the museums. Here's a shot inside the Aerospace Museum.

Here's one of the gardens.

On the second day, we walked from our hotel to the zoo. We stayed near the Gaslamp District which is a bunch of restaurants and night clubs. It reminded me alot of San Francisco. The buildings and streets look very much like SF.

There are the trams apart from the busses. It costs $2.25 each time you board either one and you're given a pass that enables you to get onto as many busses or trams within the next two hours. Good if you're travelling alot in a short period of time. There are two lines of trams, the blue line and the orange line. Ironically you will only find red and orange colored trams. No blue ones.

The following pictures are from the San Diego zoo. The park had 4000+ animals and I've never seen such diversity in a zoo before. However, the shows were just alright, nothing spectacular.

Check out the kangaroo's pouch.

The next two days, we went to Seaworld. I really enjoyed myself there because the shows were great! Also lots of animals that are from cold climates. Something I don't see too often.

Moray eels.

Stonefish.

Cuttlefish.

It was definitely a trip meant for animal lovers.
